What to ExpectVisitors can see largest amount of sea lions in the spring in summer when they are breeding. During this time they venture outside of the cave to socialize and interact with each other. During the winter and fall most sea lion sightings will be inside of the cave.
Cave HistoryThe Sea Lion Caves have been around for approximately 25 million years as a natural and protected home for a colony of sea lions. The habitat is at sea level and spans across 2 acres and reaches about 125 feet high. As the tides come in and out, visitors will have the chance to view the rich minerals and sea life that thrives on its surface.
